Welcome Home Packages
We offer a welcome home pack which is the perfect gift to give to first time parents and very popular with grandparents. Your maternity Nurse will accompany you home from hospital and stay with you for three days, during this time she will teach you all about what happens next!
You will learn how to:
- Feed your baby / babies
- Settle your baby into a good routine and learn vital techniques to get
- him/her sleeping through the night as soon as possible.
- Bath your baby
- Change nappies hygienically
- Swaddle your baby
- Wash and sterilize bottles and breast pump equipment
- Prepare feeds
- Recognise signs of reflux and what to do next
- Identify your baby’s different cries
And much much more!
Your Maternity Nurse will then be available to call anytime after the booking for any further questions you may have.
Leaving your baby for the first time can be a worrying thought, but there may come a time when you need to. Perhaps you have a wedding or a birthday party or maybe you just fancy an evening out.
At Silentnight Nannies we have a selection of Maternity Nurses and Night Nannies who are on hand even at short notice to take care of your child / children whilst you relax and enjoy some time to yourself.
Special Occasion Nannies salaries can vary according to experience and how many children they are caring for. The following salaries are a guideline only:

Placing one of our lovely Nannies with a family is so rewarding for us. We take special care finding out exactly what requirements both the family and the Nanny are looking for to make certain everything goes perfectly.
Our Nannies make it their priority to provide a safe and stimulating environment for your child that will allow them to develop and grow as well as ensuring their well-being. They will work closely with you to make sure all your child’s needs are met and will maintain good communication with you at all times.
Nannies are responsible for:
- Stimulating and Educating Children
- Organising Activities
- Feeding and cooking nutritious meals
- All nursery duties including children’s laundry
(Nannies are not responsible for general housework not relating to the child / children).
The following salaries are a guideline only and some more experienced Nannies may charge a little more:
Daily £500-550 per week net based on 50 hour week, Mon-Fri
Live In £300-400 per week net based on 60 hour week, Mon-Fri + 2 nights babysitting
Part Time £9-10 per hour net
As the Nanny’s employer, you are responsible for payment of their tax and national insurance contributions on top of the net amount your Nanny takes home.
Our specialist Holiday Nannies will accompany your family on holiday and care for your baby whilst you relax and take that much deserved break. Holiday maternity nurses are used to travelling with young children and will help ensure travelling to and from your holiday destination goes smoothly and safely.
